Getting started

Which hand does what?

The keyboard splits at C4. Everything below it is the chord zone: hold a chord there and the whole band follows — one finger is enough to start. From C4 up is yours to solo on. You can move the split point under the gear button.

Nothing is playing

Press START, or turn on SYNC START and play a chord with your left hand. With the style stopped there is no backing band to hear, so the mute buttons and the mixer will seem to do nothing.

Changing the sounds

On the MAIN panel, each row under SOUND / PARTS has two halves. Tap the icon to switch that layer on or off; tap the name to choose a different instrument. UP1, UP2 and UP3 stack on your right hand — turn on more than one and they play together.

Styles

Importing your own

Hi Organ reads genuine Yamaha style files — .sty, .prs, .pst, .bcs, .sst — and plain .mid files. Open one from the Files app and choose Hi Organ, or use the import button on the STYLE screen.

A style imported but some buttons do nothing

Not every style file contains every section. A style with only Main A will not respond to B, C or D, and one without an Ending A will not respond to ENDING. That is the file, not the app.

No sound from the backing band

Check PART ON/OFF on the MAIN panel — a group that is off has no amber outline. Also check the MIXER: a track pulled to zero is silent.

Recording

MIDI or audio?

The chip beside the red dot chooses. MIDI saves a small file you can open elsewhere; WAV also renders it to audio so you can share it with someone who has no MIDI player. Both capture the same performance.

Where do recordings go?

Gear button → RECORDINGS. You can play them back, rename, share or delete them there. Playback runs through the instrument itself, so a take sounds with whatever voices you have loaded now.

All 128 voices, unlimited style imports, recording, the advanced effects, and no ads. One purchase, yours for good — there is no subscription.

Restoring a purchase

Open the Premium screen and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
